Home Staff Sanitation Streets & Alleys Water Pollution Control Streets & Alleys The Sedalia Street Department is responsible for repairing and maintaining streets and alleyways throughout the city. With more than 140 miles of paved roadway in Sedalia, the Department manages the regular maintenance of these streets and oversees rebuilds and resurfacing during the summer months. When winter months blanket Sedalia in snow, the Street Department mobilizes to remove snow from city streets, allowing citizens to safely conduct the business that drives Sedalia. The Street Department is also responsible for the placement of all City signs. As City Council passes ordinances to control traffic flow, the Street Department maintains the signage to guide drivers in the safe operation of vehicles on city streets.
