Sanitation
The Sedalia Sanitation Department is responsible for the collection and disposal of residential and commercial refuse in Sedalia. With a fleet of five trucks, the city has residential pickup twice weekly and commercial pickup one time per week. The Department has leaf pickup from November through February, as well as Spring and Fall Clean-up weeks for all items excluding hazardous materials, building materials and yard waste.

Fall Clean-Up Week Information - October 26-30
Beginning in September 2007, the city will be operating a composting facility for citizen use at the intersection of 28th Street and New York Avenue. Yard waste, including grass, brush, leaves, garden material, limbs and bushes, can be dropped off at no cost and wood chips will be available on-site for public use.
