Community Development
The Community Development Department coordinates city growth and development. The Department also supports revitalization activities with potential and existing businesses through interaction with the public and area economic development agencies. Community Development coordinates and compiles economic data and provides assistance to businesses as they go through the city's development process.
The Department also supervises the Code Enforcement office to ensure development conforms to safety regulations and code requirements. Community Development provides staff support to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustments. The Building Maintenance staff works under the direction of the Community Development Department to coordinate improvements to and upkeep of city facilities.
