| Development Home Staff Code Enforcement Building Maintenance DREAM Code Enforcement The Code Enforcement office is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the citizens of Sedalia in their homes, workplaces, shopping and dining destinations through inspections and enforcement of city code. City Council adopts and reviews building standards and a team of city inspectors work to verify compliance and provide guidance on a variety of projects throughtout the city. If you are building a new home or business within the city limits, you can be assured that the latest in internationally-recognized standards are in place to guide the construction process. Before you build, contact the Building Safety office to ensure that you have the appropriate permits on file. The permitting process allows city staff to verify that the plans for building conform to safety and property standards before a project begins - which saves headaches for everyone in the long run.
