City Road Projects
The City of Sedalia is constantly working to improve the condition of roads throughout the City. With more than 140 miles in our street system, it takes a continual maintenance effort to ensure safe, quality road surfaces throughout the City.
Some roads are treated with sealants and overlays while others required complete reconstruction. Road treatments are determined by current condition, remaining service life of the road based on current conditions, traffic loads and other factors. The City maintains a five year road improvement plan to guide road projects over a five year period.
Additionally, there are projects involving local roadways that, while not City roads, impact our citizens. With several state highways and county roads running through or near Sedalia, we're committed to keeping our community informed about projects that will impact these roads.
