Additional Services Offered
Fire Station Tours
A trip to the fire station is always fun and educational for kids and adults alike. We invite you to come by and tour our facilities and equipment. Groups of citizens, students, Cub Scouts, Brownies and other similar organizations can be given tours of the City's fire stations. Each group will be briefed on the responsibilities of the station, its personnel and the assigned equipment. Items such as cost of equipment and the levels and hours of training needed to become a firefighter can be tailored to the group's needs or age. Fire Safety information can also be integrated into the tour.
Please contact Captain Daniel Shaw at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (660) 851-7614, for more information or to schedule a tour.
Fire Headquarters Classroom
We have a state of the art classroom that can accommodate approximately 25 students. We use this to conduct much of our in house training to keep our members skills and certifications up to date. When not in use, we invite your group to take advantage of this wonderful facility.
If you would like further information or to request the use of our classroom please contact Captain Daniel Shaw at email@example.com or call (660) 851-7614.
Fire Safety Presentations
We would be happy to come talk to your group about fire safety. We can accommodate any age group with a range of topics. We are able to perform these at either of our facilities or we can come visit you at your facility. These presentations are performed by on-duty personnel so we are unable to travel outside of our response district and may be called away. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Child Safe House
The Sedalia Fire Department has a child safe house trailer that helps us teach children fire safety in the home. This allows us to demonstrate some common household dangers along with the importance of escape plans. This can be demonstrated on its own or can be incorporated in station tours or fire safety presentations.
Please contact Captain Daniel Shaw at email@example.com or call (660) 851-7614, for more information or to request a safe house demonstration.
Fire Extinguisher Training
We offer fire extinguisher training and demonstrations. Understanding the basic Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep (PASS) principals can help ensure your safe escape in the event of a fire at your home or business. This short course is available to your group upon request.
Please contact Captain Daniel Shaw at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (660) 851-7614, for more information.
Child Safety Seat Installation and Inspection
Your child's safety is extremely important to us. Vehicle accidents happen everyday and we want to make sure that if your child were ever involved in an accident they are as safe as possible. We have several certified Child Safety Seat Technicians. We would be happy to make sure that your child's seat is installed and fitted properly.
