The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

Vehicle Maintenance Department

The Sedalia Vehicle Maintenance Department is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the City's entire fleet.  This fleet consists of vehicles and equipment, including dump trucks, snow plows, backhoes, lawn mowers, vacuum trucks, street sweepers, and many more.  The following departments have vehicles and equipment that are maintained by the Vehicle Maintenance crew:

  • Code Enforcement
  • Building Maintenance
  • Recycle Center
  • Sanitation Department
